Sexy Smokey Eyes

Makeup is evolving every day, especially with respect to eye makeup. Whether you're going out for a date night or event, a smokey eye is sure to make you look sophisticated and classy.  It is blending of three to four colors of eyeshadow to create this sexy smokey effect.

Easy Steps to Smokey Eyes

STEP 1:
Prime your eyelid for a lasting effect.
STEP 2:
Apply a dark shade of eye shadow to your entire lid (see color suggestions below), close to the lash line. Blend color upward to the crease.
Eye Makeup Color GuideFor hazel eyes: Brown and beige shadow with a black eyeliner
For blue eyes: Gray and white shadow with a navy eyeliner
For brown eyes: Navy and beige shadow with brown or black eyeliner
For green eyes: Green and gold shadow with dark brown eyeliner
STEP 3:
Add a lighter shade of shadow under the eyebrow until it meets the darker shade. Blend the two shades together.
STEP 4:
Line the inside of the bottom rim of eyes with a pencil, and slightly smudge.
Tip: Metallic colors are perfect for holidays and make eyes pop!
STEP 5:
Use a thick, black pencil and line the top eyelids to complete the smoky look.
STEP 6:
To accentuate the effect, apply 2 coats of mascara to eyelashes.

The most important tool for getting a smokey eye is appropriate makeup brushes. They should be clean, good quality and soft to blend colors effectively.

I'm going to try this look Saturday night!
